Course Description:

In today’s dynamic and interconnected digital landscape, equipping high school students with advanced critical thinking and inquiry-based skills is paramount. The Digital Media Literacy course at LFA is designed to empower students with the knowledge and competencies necessary for success in college, their careers, and beyond.

This course provides a comprehensive exploration of key topics in media literacy, focusing on the evaluation of information, ethical engagement with emerging technologies, and creative problem-solving. Students will delve into areas such as AI ethics, 3D printing, and copyright principles while mastering foundational research and digital literacy skills. Through hands-on practice, they will become proficient in leveraging essential platforms like Google Workspace, Notability, and Canvas to enhance productivity and organization.

  • Navigating and critically evaluating digital and physical information sources.

  • Developing creative design thinking skills through 3D printing and fabrication.
